History

Sakarya University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences started undergraduate education in the academic year of 1993-94 with its Departments of Economics and Management. Soon after seven Departments were set up consisting of Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Finance, Tourism Management, Human Resources Management, and Financial Econometrics. Three of these Departments (Management, Tourism Management, and Human Resources Management) were transferred to the newly established Faculty of Management after November 2010. The remaining Departments have both a day and an evening program instead of Financial Econometrics. Additionally, five Departments (Economics, Political Science and Public Administration, International Relations, Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, and Finance) carry out an online education program depending on blended learning methods.
